A compound specifically designed for use on rear axles, RS7-1 has a very stable friction coefficient of 0.35 from cold up to 500°C. It has a very linear in-stop behavior with no ramping up or drop off in friction during a stop. The characteristics of this compound are ideally suited for the rear axle of front wheel drive cars but also works well on rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive cars. Due to new automated production processes and use of fewer and less complex raw ingredients RS7-1 is priced at a lower level than regular RScompounds such as RS4-2. The pads also come complete with OEM accessories such as piston clips, spring clips and edge chamfers where applicable. RS7-1 is produced only in pad shapes that are used on rear axles as this compound should not be used on front axles.
